How I became what I am

I moved to the Rhein Main area from Alexandria, Egypt in the 1980’s and since 1988 have been living in Frankfurt am Main.

Since my time at the University of Alexandria studying British/American language and culture I have been interested in humanity and the “soul” – and quickly became a passionate fan of Shakespeare.

I have attained much since the days when I worked in the international finance industry. Unfortunately, it also meant I had to give up or suppress my own goals and values. More and more often, I had the feeling I must make my own life and profession more authentic.

My development process was not always straightforward and it took a while before I found "my way". This took me from a comfortable permanent position in the financial world to freelance work, and shortly afterwards into what was both new for me but yet also familiar- the world of coaching.

During my training in coaching and other skills I found myself learning approaches to solutions that also advanced my own personal development. It is through my multicultural background, communications skills, my creativity, and my facility to "switch tracks" quickly that have given me the tools to best serve my clients.

If I were to describe myself, I would say that I am open, inquisitive, empathetic, people oriented, and a good listener. If you were to ask my friends, they would say she is dependable, loyal, flexible, as well as sensitive and considerate.

Charlie Chaplin wrote on the occasion of his 70th birthday on April 16, 1959 a statement I would like to share with you.
